Convert RealPlayer Audio To Mp3

Download and Install The Following Tools Now

  • StreamBox Ripper

  • 7-Zip (In case you do not have an unzip program, install and use this program to unzip a file)

Purpose

Convert Real Audio .rm/.ram to .mp3

Procedure

  1. Create a directory on your computer and name it Streambox. (e.g. C:\STREAMBOX)

  2. Extract the contents of the streambox.zip file to the C:\STREAMBOX directory.

  3. Start StreamBox. Figure 1

  1. Drag the .ra file you want to convert over the Streambox Ripper window and it will begin to play the file.  Let the file play to a completion.  You may, if you wish, set the volume level and equalization of the file as it being played back.
     

  2. Click on the 'Convert' button and a settings window will open as shown in Figure 1. Set your settings to the ones in Figure 2.

     (Note: Sampling Rate: 44100Hz; Encode Output File: MPEG Layer 3 (MP3); You may enter in the Title and Author of the song at this time. Also, notice the location where your converted file will be placed. You may change the location if you wish).

  1. Click OK. The .ra file and you will be presented with a 'Status' window as shown in Figure 3. Upon completion of the conversion process you will have an MP3 file in the location you specified in Step 2. The conversion only takes a few seconds. Figure 3
