How To Convert DVD Movies To XBox

This guide shows how to convert DVD movies to playback on XBox devices.

Download and Install The Following Tools Now

• Prism Video Converter

• 7-Zip (In case you do not have an unzip program, install and use this program to unzip a file)

Purpose

Rip and convert DVD movies to Play on XBOX 360.

Procedure

1. If you haven't already, Download and install the Prism Video Converter.

2. Insert your DVD movie into your DVD player.

3. Start the Prism Video Converter. Figure 1

1. Click on the Add DVD button and navigate to the DVD movie in your DVD player.  Select it and then click the Open button.  Figure 2 and Figure 3

1. Take note of the Output Folder setting. This is where your converted file will reside. You may change the default location, if you wish, by clicking on the Browse button. Figure 4

1. Click on the Encoder Options button. Figure 5

1. Select MPEG4 (XBox 360). Select an Average Bitrate of 768and a Maximum bitrate of 1024. Chose and Audio bitrate of 192  and click OK. Figure 6

Note: You can play around with these setting. Please understand that the lower the bitrate the lower the quality. Higher bitrates produce better quality but larger file sizes.

1. Make sure your Output Format is .mp4 and then click the Convert button. Figure 7

1. Prism Video Converter commences the DVD to XBox 360 file conversion. Figure 8

1. You now have an *.mp4 file in the Output Folder location that you should be able to play on your XBox 360.
