This guide shows how to convert Blu-ray movies to a format that can be played back in iPod, iPad, and iPhone devices.

RipBot - During the RipBot installation, make sure you install AVIsynth, ffdshow, Haali Media Splitter, and the .NET Framework, if prompted.

7-Zip (In case you do not have an unzip program, install and use this program to unzip a file)
Purpose
To convert a Blu-ray movie to iPod format.
Procedure

Rip your Blu-ray movie to your hard drive. You will produce a *.mkv movie file. Click HERE and run the tutorial that shows you how to do this.

Click the Add button. Figure 2

Click on the Video Ellipses button. Figure 3

Navigate to the location of your ripped Blu-ray movie (Again, this will be an *.mkv video file). Select it and click the Open button. Figure 4

RipBot will now DeMux the Audio Streams of your ripped Blu-ray movie. This is so you will be able to hear the audio when you create the iPod formatted video file. Since your ripped Blu-ray movie is a large file, this process could take 15-20 minutes. So please be patient. You will see a DeMux progress indicator. Figure 5

Note: If at this point you find that RipBot will not DeMux your Rip Blu-ray movie audio stream, no problem. STOP running this procedure and go HERE. If RipBot is successful, then continue on to the next step.

Once the DeMuxing process is complete, RipBot will populate the interface with information as seen in Figure 6

Under the Profile section, pull down and select the IPOD profile. Figure 7

Under the Output section, take note of the path where your converted video file (an *.mp4 file) will go and then click the Done button. Figure 8

On the next window, click the Start button to commence with the conversion. Figure 9

RipBot will now convert your Blu-ray movie to iPod format. You will be presented with a progress indicator. Figure 10

Once RipBot has completed converting your movie, you will be alerted. You should now have an *.mp4 video file you can upload to your iPod. Figure 11
