Download and Install The Following Tools Now

K-Lite Codec Pack – This installs the most popular Video Codecs.

DivX Player – May be used to playback your DivX movies.
-
7-Zip (In case you do not have an unzip program, install and use this program to unzip a file)
Procedure
-
Create a folder on your Desktop and name it Videos.

Insert your DVD movie into your computer DVD player.

Start DVDx 2.1o Ultra Edition. Figure 1

Go to File/Open DVD Root. Figure 2

Select the VIDEO_TS folder inside your DVD movie and click OK. Figure 3

Select the title with the longest duration and click the Select button. Figure 4

Make sure your Input Settings are the same as those in Figure 5
Note: If your DVD is NTSC make sure the Force 24Hz box is checked. Make sure the Angle is 1. Make sure Key Search is set to Each VOB/Cell. Make sure Deinterlace filter is set to None and then click OK.

Go to Settings/Output Settings. Figure 6

Make sure AVI (DivX, YUV) is selected. Make sure Use Lame is selected, make sure the XviD MPEG-4 Codec is selected and make sure Enable Video box is checked. Figure 7

Click on the Select Destination button. Figure 8

Click on the Browse button and then navigate to the Video folder you created in Step 1. Enter in the movie name and click the Save button. Figure 9 and Figure 10

Click the Encode button to start the conversion from DVD to DivX. Figure 12

When the process is complete, you will have a DivX file inside the folder you created in Step 1
