Convert DVD Movies To DivX

(The Video Tutorial is at the End of the Steps)

Download and Install The Following Tools Now

Procedure

  1. Create a folder on your Desktop and name it Videos.

  2. Insert your DVD movie into your computer DVD player.

  3. Start DVDx 2.1o Ultra Edition. Figure 1

  1. Go to File/Open DVD Root. Figure 2

  1. Select the VIDEO_TS folder inside your DVD movie and click OK. Figure 3

  1. Select the title with the longest duration and click the Select button. Figure 4

  1. Make sure your Input Settings are the same as those in Figure 5

Note: If your DVD is NTSC make sure the Force 24Hz box is checked. Make sure the Angle is 1. Make sure Key Search is set to Each VOB/Cell.  Make sure Deinterlace filter is set to None and then click OK.

  1. Go to Settings/Output Settings. Figure 6

  1. Make sure AVI (DivX, YUV) is selected. Make sure Use Lame is selected, make sure the XviD MPEG-4  Codec is selected and make sure Enable Video box is  checked. Figure 7

  1. Click on the Select Destination button. Figure 8

  1. Click on the Browse button and then navigate to the Video folder you created in Step 1. Enter in the movie name and click the Save button. Figure 9  and Figure 10

  1. Click OK. Figure 11

  1. Click the Encode button to start the conversion from DVD to DivX. Figure 12

  1. When the process is complete, you will have a DivX file inside the folder you created in Step 1
